Do we make God happy? Pleasing God should be our first priority in life! Consider what the Bible says about pleasing Him:

Our lifestyle and learning should please Him:
Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Our words should please Him.
1Thessalonians 2:4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

We cannot please Him without being Spirit-filled.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

We must believe Him.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We please Him when we praise Him and thank Him.
Psalm 69:30 - 31 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

We are given lots of instruction in the following verses:
1Thessalonians 4:1-8 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

Be Set Apart: For this is the will of God, even your sanctification,
Be Pure: that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
Be Honest: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
Be Holy: For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
Be Loving: He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

Lord, help me to please you today in word and deed!

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
